Aru Shah is an absolute treasure. She's one of my favorite characters. Her movie references and sarcasm is the best.
So of course I enjoyed this book. In this book, Aru and company are trying to find and secure the army from Kubera in the City of Gold. Of course bro gives them a few tasks first to prove themselves.
This book had a fair amount of angst and teen drama. Which is actually a first for this series and it kinda caught me off guard. I don't feel like it brought the book down, but was a little off putting at first.
Still a really great book from a fantastic series.
