Miller definitely did a wonderful job with this piece. I was incredibly infuriated at many characters (like... I genuinely hated them) and was honestly surprisingly passionate about it.
I can't say I cared for it a lot, just because the subject isn't particularly interesting to me, nor did I like any of the characters-- even if I hated other characters for doing bad things to them. It's kind of just... not my cup of tea.
That said, it was absolutely well-written, and got me about as interested as I could possibly be in Puritan America. His writing of each character was really well done, and I never once felt bored or like it was losing with the plot. I'm glad I read it, though I probably wouldn't choose to read it on my own time.
