Luck on the Line by Zoraida Córdova

3.0

More of a 3.5 star read, but rounded down thanks to the MC stating that a color-coordinated store made her “eyes have a serious case of ADHD” (which 1. yikes on a bike and 2. what does that even mean?)

That being said, I loved Lucky as a character. It’s nice to see a woman who’s more prickly/angry as a romantic lead. I also liked the dislike-to-love aspect of this, which is not a thing I normally enjoy, but worked here because the dislike between the main characters was based on shallow things rather than a deep-seated hate. The plot was a bit slow, but all of the delicious food descriptions made up for it.

Overall, I did enjoy this book and will probably check out the next in the series.
