Pájaro de medianoche by Alice Hoffman

5.0

Alice Hoffman has an almost magical way of writing. Incantation was one of my favorite novels when I was in jr. high, and what I loved then is the same thing I loved about this book.

Twig's narrative is captivating, and even though the chapters are long, it never feels that way. The whole story line is definitely magically and appealing. The uncovering of the truth and the magic and everything is just absolutely perfect. Definitely a great middle grade read.
