Obsessive. What does this word conjure in your minds eye? For me it’s undaunted endurance. The will to outlast. The sheer volume of deafening silence around you while your brain is marveling the details.

I first heard if this case via a podcast- it was the singular, scariest thing I have ever listened to. This says a lot of you know me. I have consumed an above average amount of murder content. This story literally kept me up at night. My husband, daily, had to endure my half finished rants and ramblings. East Area Rapist had become a household name here. It is very easy to see how someone could become obsessed.

I wasn’t able to start this book until well after the EAR-ONS, Golden State Killer, was caught. I thought if it would someone make me less scared. I was wrong. The author literally eats, sleeps and breathes the case. She fully pulls you in and you become their trusty sidekick. It’s deeply upsetting to know the conclusion of this killer identity when the author did not. It’s an unfair world we live in that someone so dedicated to finding the truth was robbed of life and answers and the cold blooded killer still draws breath.

I haven’t slept since finishing the last page.
