A Question of Holmes by Brittany Cavallaro

4.0

Loved the Oxford setting—I’m sad that it’s over and would have liked a bit more resolution at the end, which was a bit of a let down, but overall pretty satisfied.

This is one series that has haunted my brain long after I’ve finished it. I loved the complexity of the characters more than the books themselves, if that makes sense—I loved Jamie (and Leander, obviously), but Charlotte was the one who really stuck with me. I think she was real and dark in a way teenage girls rarely get to be in books without being oversimplified.
