the assassin’s blade – sarah j. maas

5 stars.

i’ve only read this one all the way through once or twice & now i remember why. i don’t know why it had to be as brutal as it was???it’s such a great collection of short stories about the year before celaena was taken to endovier.

i love how intensely “teenager” like she is throughout this entire book. celaena is such a little jealous turd. but also she’s just a kid??? and she had to go through all that within the span of a couple of months??? i hate it.

sam is so good. so pure. i will forever be mad that they didn’t get the time they deserved.

honestly, i cannot think of a time i have hated a character more than i hate arobynn. he can rot in the deepest pits of hell.

can’t wait to be back with the loml rowan, but i’ll be missing sam every moment.
