This book had such a unique storyline and magic style. I love the way Māori knowledge and beliefs were woven in and the glimpse in to Aotearoa’s queer history was so interesting. The characters were diverse and I found myself caring deeply about their stories. An incredible book that I would recommend to anyone interested in New Zealand history, queer history, Māori culture, or feminism.
