Perfect for middle grades and up! The author  tackles complex concepts (as do his characters) without underestimating kids or assuming they understand everything either. The characters admit when they are wrong or when they don't know something, but not as a failing. If I was teaching middle school or freshman in HS I would absolutely use this book with my classes and can't wait for my own kids to read it.
