The in between the numbers novels are the same slapstick nonsense that is a Stephanie Plum novel but with a slightly supernatural flare. Could there really be superhero like beings in Jersey? I'm not sure that she really needs another man in her life but Diesel is a fun character to visit on occasion. Sadly this was my last visit with Diesel in Stephanie's world... Yeah I read them out of order.
