If there was ever a love letter to reading and being a bookworm, this is it! This pint-sized essay collection had me thinking about how my own reading life has developed over the years, and how being a reader has shaped my life.
I loved reading Anne’s recollections of her childhood and her first bookish memories. Her writing is intimate and I felt like I was sitting on a couch with a friend, cup of tea in hand, talking about reading memories. These essays inspire an introspective analysis of your own reading history, alongside a glimpse into the reading life of a passionate bibliophile.
For me, books have been a constant in a life spent living and traveling in different corners of the world. While I have a kindle (two, actually 🙈!) I still will pack multiple books every time I go anywhere. If I’m out for coffee or at work, you’ll always find a book tucked into my handbag! Thanks, Anne, for reminding me that I’m not alone and that there are kindred spirits out there ready to leave their mark on my reading life.
This was a delightful collection and one I look forward to sharing with the readers in my own life. #idratherbereading (disclaimer: I was sent a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review)
