GOD i love these kooky old folks and their determination to solve mysteries so much.

the plot of this story was brilliantly crafted and kept me guessing the entire time. i had suspicions that turned out to be completely wrong, i had hunches that were half-right, and the ending took me by surprise but made total sense. from a mystery standpoint i couldn't be more pleased with this.

the characters are, once again, the stars of this. from ibrahim theorizing about what classic instagram filter would work best on a photo of a dead body, to ron's eight-year-old grandson uncovering a huge clue almost by accident, to bogdan being a big ol' softie, there were so many moments in this that made me smile and absolutely delighted me. every single member of the thursday murder club is frustrating yet loveable in their own unique ways, and this book made me fall more in love with each of them.

this series continues to be the Peak of cozy mystery content and i can't wait to be back on a case with them again soon.
