I have only recently begun to educate myself on Palestinian history, so Shehadeh’s memories and reflections are astonishing and heartbreaking. I am disheartened by how long Palestine has had to suffer under Israeli occupation. Above all, this book had beautiful details of the Palestinian landscape.
