4.5

4.5. This is the third in the Earthsea Cycle. It moves slowly, perhaps a sign of the fiction times in the early 1970s - and perhaps the pace is also necessary to give us a chance to see the characters grow and change and to build up to the ending. I had begun reading LeGuin's Earthsea series in my teens (late 70s), but I may not have made it to book 3 then. The diversity of the world(s) and the situations our main characters traverse through is worth the read.
