The Couple Next Door
by Shari Lapena
The way I described this book to my mom (who also read it) was, simple, fairly predictable, and the kind of book that makes me think I could write a book. I mean, the settings were minimal as were the number of characters. It was told from multiple third person points of view and the characters kind of figure it out as the reader maybe probably already had. We also get some backstory on the couple at the middle of this tale. None of the characters were likable at all, except the detective. And I'm not sure about the ending.
