This book took me a bit to get into, and around the 25% mark is where everything changed for me. This story is about law vs religion, law vs morals, and law vs law. I really liked the religious aspect the most, but I love how the story unfolded to not just be a crime solver, but turned out to be much bigger than that.
Favorite Parts: The entire necromancy scene gave me the heebie jeebies, I love the religion vs law aspect, I enjoyed the trial and wished it were longer, and the battle in Galen’s Vale was chaotic and good.
Worst Parts: Helena is a crybaby
