The Parent Company: Easy guide for your parenting journey by Dr. Urjita Kulkarni
informative
fast-paced
3.0
I’m not a big fan of parenting books in general. The only book I had read was for my pregnancy - What to expect when you’re expecting, and even that stressed me out.
We live in an age of information and advice overload - some off putting, some well meaning. So this book didn’t come as much of a surprise in terms of the content it explores.
What I liked is the simplistic, bullet point style of writing and some subjects that the Dr touched upon with an open mind - such as the importance of reading, mental health issues in children, sex education and freedom of sexuality or gender identity.
However, on the whole, there wasn’t anything new that I learnt from the book that I wasn’t already aware of as a person or parent.
