Crown of Roses by Hillary Raymer
Overall with the plot, Raymer and the reader explore the mysterious world of Faeven where the main character Maeve is faced with trials, questions and romance.
Something about the tempo of this storyline didn't work with my brain. It was both fast and slow at different points. The world building felt slow, and as though there were pieces missing. Whereas the romance piece felt quick and forced. It felt like the FMC was griping about the love interest, then all of a sudden they were fooling around. It just felt very hot and cold but not in the fun way....
If fae realms are your romantasy thing, and you love hot and cold romance, then absolutely give this one a read.
