A fast paced book, written in the form of memos and short dialogues, this story explores the relationship between a student named Phillip and his teacher Miss Narwin, and a personality conflict in the classroom that quickly got out of hand. The story explores various versions of the truth and how quickly a story can be altered to fit differing belief systems. I was surprised that the original copyright date of the story goes back to 1991 because the story elements of patriotism and shrinking school budgets are as relevant today as they obviously were at that time. Written for middle school aged readers, the book is well written and I would highly recommend it.
