I loved this book for so many reasons. Mainly because I related so much to Annie and saw so much of myself in her. It takes time and mistakes to understand your own self worth.

“I don’t ever want to be a woman who carries up soup to a man. But I was that woman, and to believe she’s gone out of me, been dug out, peeled from my skin, just because I can see what goodness there is, I think that’s naive. So for now I’m just reveling in what is and hoping for what might be.”
