callumh1998 's review for:
The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich: A History of Nazi Germany
by William L. Shirer
challenging
dark
informative
sad
slow-paced
A long slog of a read/listen. The amount of people involved (obviously) means you kind of lose track of who's doing what.
However an insightful look into the inner workings of WW2 Germany.
I would also say that the insight is better pre war (obviously) due yo the writer being in Germany during the pre war period.
A good if harrowing account worth reading.
