Did not finish book. Stopped at 12%.

The writing style is just not vibing. It felt too direct, and jumped right into the plot before I felt like I knew the main character yet. I wanted to like this sooo much, because the concept seems amazing, but I just couldn’t get past the writing. I gave it until chapter 4, but I just never felt connected. I felt like I was removed from the story instead of there with the characters
