Utterly captivating. I wasn't bored for a second, mostly, I think, due to the narrative voice. You can't help but love Jane, or Mister Rochester for that matter. It's kinda wild how much of the plot hinges on everyone being Christian and of course the ableism is in no way subtle, but for me it didn't fall in the "painful to read nowadays" category. This will differ per reader, though.
