5/5 Stars

I have been a huge fan of Toni’s for a long time. I love her hockey books so much and was excited to see that she was writing a new Bullies novel. This book did not disappoint. There has been a common trend with authors writing next generation series. I was so excited to see that Toni was doing the same, especially when I found out that Ryan was the lead of the book. The characters were so easy to relate to and root for. I could not put it down! Do yourself a favor and pick up this book!

Ryan is a classic character from the early Assassins novels. I was really happy to be able to get to read more about the Assassins and the Justice family. Ryan’s character was complex and completely relatable. His character showed that it is possible to go after your dreams and that perhaps our dreams come to be in surprising ways.

Sofia was the true picture of determination. I loved her character and found that she was everything I wish I could have been in college. Overall, she was an inspiring character, which only made me root for the characters’ relationship more.

While Sofia and Ryan each have big dreams of their own, they soon begin to realize that they have something special. Will their dreams work together or tear them apart? What happens when it seems like everything is falling apart around them?

I loved both of main characters. Their personalities were so bright and endearing. They were a classic Toni Aleo couple. I appreciated how determined Sofia was and the way that Toni handled her demons. It was realistic and refreshing to read. However, among the most enjoyable parts of the book were when the main characters interacted with some of my favorite characters of past books. I was laughing out loud at multiple points in the story and on the verge of tears for others. Do yourself a favor and read this book immediately.
