Because that's my life. The trope that governs my days. The archetype over which my details are superimposed. I'm the city person. Not the one who meets the hot farmer. The other one.
The uptight, manicured literary agent, reading manuscripts from atop her Peloton while a serene beach scene screen saver drifts, unnoticed, across her computer screen. I'm the one who gets dumped.

Charlie and Nora. CHARLIE AND NORA !!!

I had high hopes after Beach Read and You And Me On Vacation, and this book did not disappoint!!! I love that Charlie and Nora are simultaneously so different and so alike, as much as Nora wants to act like they're not lol

Charlie Lastra sees right through my carefully pressed outermost layers.

I was hooked from beginning to end, not only are the main characters so well done, the side characters are so rich and wonderful - Libby and Charlie's mum being two of my fave! I love the little world and the community of Sunshine Falls ☀️ This book was the perfect amount of cute, fun, flirty moments and angst, heart-hurting and growth <3
