Every Other Day by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

I happened to see this book sitting on a shelf while working in the library. It looked interesting so I checked it out. I have to say that I am so FREAKING glad I did. This book was awesome.

I loved that Kali was such a badass. She was strong and independent. I know that there was an underscore of romance in the book, but it wasn't a central part, nor did she rely on the man or act like she was desperate for his love.

I think that this book was easy to relate to. I loved how Kali was alone, and then she realized that she was never really alone. There is always someone in her corner, but that there are also people who aren't. I liked the theme of friendship throughout the book, and there wasn't really a whole lot of petty high school drama (even though the book is set in high school).

Great paranormal read! I kind of wish that the author did a follow-up book, but oh well....now I get to create my own ending for it. You all should read this book!
