Birds Art Life Death: The Art of Noticing the Small and Significant by Kyo Maclear

3.0

I read the version with the blue cloudy cover and multiple birds, with the tagline "The Art of Noticing the Insignificant"... A version which seems to be represented nowhere but on Amazon for some ungodly reason. So i leave my review here.

Short and simply, I picked it up thinking I'd get something closer to [b:The Art of Noticing|41552704|The Art of Noticing 131 Ways to Spark Creativity, Find Inspiration, and Discover Joy in the Everyday|Rob Walker|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1543132990l/41552704._SX50_.jpg|64830283] or [b:On Looking|15803166|On Looking Eleven Walks with Expert Eyes|Alexandra Horowitz|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1354847308l/15803166._SY75_.jpg|21526580]. Instead, the book's a memoire more in line with [b:Hiking My Feelings|48916486|Hiking My Feelings Stepping into the Healing Power of Nature|Sydney Williams|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1574466117l/48916486._SX50_.jpg|74312930].

Certainly, it's well written and the author has a way with words. But just as with HMF, the title was misleading; it simply wasn't what I was looking for.
