I wonder if I would have given this a higher rating if I hadn't just read another queer football YA that I enjoyed a lot more (Like Other Girls).
The romance was cute, but ultimately I couldn't stand for how long it took basically any character to be a decent human being. My primary feeling reading this book was anger at literally everyone except for Amber's mom and Jack.
