So I am absolutely a sucker for the "straight" guy who is unequivocally in love with their gay best friend and has absolutely no idea. It's like catnip to me, so needless to say, I adored this book.

Julian Thick has been in love with his best friend since he was a teenager, but never believed he would have a chance. Not only is Parker straight, but he's been in an on again, off again relationship with their friend Erin for ages. And, now they've decided to get married. So Julian plans to get through the wedding, and then spend the week in a cabin in Aster Valley moping, drinking, and eating his weight in ice cream. However, when Parker is suddenly left at the altar, Julian whisks him back to his cabin retreat to deal with the fallout. Instead of spending the week trying to get over Parker once and for all, their friendship turns very not platonic. Julian and Parker are forced to confront their true feelings for each other, and decide what they want their future to look like.

I really loved both Julian and Parker, even if I wanted to shake them by the shoulders occasionally and force them to just be honest with each other. But, I did really appreciate that Parker didn't wig out over realizing that he had feelings for his best friend. I don't need any internalized homophobia in my bi-awakenings thank you very much. And, I really appreciated that once Parker acknowledged his feelings, he was all in. Because Julian deserved that after pining after him for all those years.

Three Thoughts:
1. While I appreciate that the author was trying not to make Parker's ex Erin out to be a villain, her character still drove me up the wall. And, honestly I wanted to see her get her comeuppance. Parker and Julian were way too nice to her, and I'm not convinced that even after everything that happened that she understand why her behavior was wrong.
2. Loved the found family vibes of their friend group and the cameos from the previous couples in the series.
3. "Everything's better when I'm with you." Yes, dummy. It's because you're in love with him. *shakes fist*

This was a solid entry in this series. And, I really hope we are going to get a spinoff series with Rocco set in Alaska. *fingers crossed*
