The Assassin's Dragon by Sam Burns, W.M. Fawkes

5.0

Now that’s what I call a well-rounded HEA! Hard-won and oh so satisfying; sweet, but with no OTT fluffiness.

The book itself was pretty action-packed — the most out of these three, I think — but that didn’t overshadow the plot (or the amazing character development!), only added to it. I freely admit that detailed battle scenes usually bore me to death, but that never happened here, perhaps because of the multiple POVs? Whatever it was, it worked, and my attention was well and truly engaged.

I really enjoyed getting to know these wonderful characters, Tristram and Bet, Gillian and Maddox, Rhiannon and Sidonie, Hafgan and Bowen, and of course, Roland and his precious dragon. Their story will stay with me for a long time. I loved this series so much! ❤️
