Mighty Quill

Thoughts while reading:
-I read the 3rd book first and definitely see some similarities
-I would think Cas could make some demands or at least demand not to be treated awful by the coaching staff since he took the fall. He’s actually in a position of power
-I can’t believe Cas would even entertain going to a party Benson invited him to, considering what happened last time. And it doesn’t ping your radar he wants you to invite Thor, after saying he holds a grudge and there’s always something in it for him
-I really lose patience when people are so blatantly unsafe with alcohol (not the drugging, that wasn’t his fault)
-for so many smart people in this story, they all fail to miss the completely bloody obvious. I’m only 36% in and Thor has already learned his dad’s plans of his buddy’s research…hello? And no, this doesn’t have to do with me being the reader and having extra info.
-I don’t fully get it. Thor got a roommate in the first place to save money to be independent, but he sure seems to spend a lot on food, etc.
-you’d think Thor would go with his dad’s assumption that Cas is his boyfriend to get the pressure off. Also, I’m surprised his dad was so enthusiastic about it since Cas isn’t from a “good” family and a human.
-why didn’t Cas call Leda and ask her about Thor changing back? Oh, guess it does, but it sure took him long enough
-of course I feel bad for Thor and of course he was traumatized, but he waits 5 days before talking to the police?? He more than gave the bad guy plenty of time to erase his tracks
-Thor is an idiot. He’s taking it personally that Cas said he’ll get himself killed going into the bad guy’s place without police. Newsflash, even huge strong people can get hurt, even the professionals can get hurt and they’re at least trained.
-I still wanted to know more about Thor’s captivity and how he escaped. I kept expecting we learn it…but nope
-umm…suddenly Thor has enough money to put a down payment down for the building? He gave Cas his money back, so where did he get it and what job does he have to keep making payments?
-I thought it was fitting that happened to his dad, but wanted to know if anything changed
-and we never learn if Thor and Leda reconcile?
Good, but felt there were some things missing and maybe too much sex
