Stitches
by Sam Mariano
First off, let me say that I love Sam Mariano, and it kills me to give this a low rating. This book took me days to read when I usually read her books in a day. Her books leave me on the edge of my seat, and I can never put them down. This book just wasn't it for me.
Seb and Moira have a great marriage, and they still act like newlyweds. Griff is Seb's best friend, and they are more like brothers since they grew up in the system together. They are also business partners and have become very successful. Griff finds out his wife cheated on him...again and decides he can't be the third wheel to Seb and Moira. He has been in love with Moira for years. Seb offers to share his wife to keep him.
This was a decent premise, but it just didn't work for me for the following reasons:
- It's an MFM (which is ok), but I prefer an MMF. I want the men to love each other and have them get intimate as well.
- I didn't like any of the characters
- Moira really annoyed me. I am ok with a submissive in the bedroom, but not every aspect of their lives. She is a stay at home wife who caters to her husband's needs. It's like she had no purpose other than to cook and serve her husband. Oh, and of course, have sex whenever he wants. She had no backbone or followed any of her wants. It also seemed like she just had sex with Griff because Seb demanded it.
- The conflict near the end was stupid and far-fetched.
- Moira manipulates Griff when he is upset with the 3rd act crap.
Anyways, I feel bad, but this book bored me, and I felt zero connection between all three of them. I tend to be pretty picky about my poly or menage romances, so it may work for you.
