Men Without Women by Haruki Murakami
4.0

Each short story was really striking and beautifully written. The first and penultimate stories, especially, stand out to me. Murakami is a really creative writer (and his translators are marvelously talented as well) and manages to articulate some wonderfully nuanced human experiences in a way I've never seen before.
I really recommend this book, but as someone who doesn't read a lot of short story compilations, the cadence of it was a little new to me. Be ready to treat each story as it's own entity (with overarching themes across them all) and take your time getting through them. I really liked stopping and reflecting after each one before plowing on to the next.
