Never Caught, the Story of Ona Judge: George and Martha Washington's Courageous Slave Who Dared to Run Away; Young Readers Edition by Kathleen Van Cleve, Erica Armstrong Dunbar

4.0

If you liked Stamped, read this biography of Ona Judge, Martha Washington’s enslaved maid who ran away to freedom in 1796. The colonial history was a little hard to read at first but then I got into the story. The authors want you to imagine what Ona was thinking; they ask you to imagine this situation or that situation. A great choice if you want to read a biography.
