Honestly, rating this book is tough. The writing is solid, loved the twist and turns, but that cult subplot? Gives me major heebie-jeebies in the worst way. Hate it. I love a good spine-tingling ghost story, but cults? Not my cup of tea. Leaning towards 3 stars because of it. Without it, maybe a 4-star read I guess.
