The Titan's Curse by Rick Riordan
5.0
Rick Riordan takes you on another fantastic journey with Percy and his friends, as he discovers more about the world of the Greek Gods, and the role his is about to play in the impending battle.
With the Titan Lord Kronos attempting to return, everyone is on the search for more Demigods, in order to protect them and train them for the impending battle. When Grover discovers a powerful brother and sister, Percy, Annabeth and Thalia race to help him bring the siblings back to Camp Half-Blood. But, there's a monster who wants the siblings for the other side. When Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt, is captured by 'The General', as well as Annabeth, Percy, Thalia and Grover must team up with Artemis' hunters in order to save Artemis before the Winter Solstice - which, of course, is in a week. Along the way, they discover the true parentage of Bianca and Nico, which is set to turn everything on it's head, as Percy prepares for the Prophecy's outcome.
Once again, Rick Riordan delivers another great story full of twists and turns, and more Greek Mythology. I love that each book introduces you to more of the Gods, and you get to learn their mythology, and how it intertwines with the overall story. Percy's story is really picking up speed now, and it's definitely going to be action-packed for the final two books.
These books just keep getting better and better, and the way that Rick Riordan weaves the story together, incorporating things that have happened in previous books, is fantastic - a lot of things had been foreshadowed in previous books, and it's great to see them play out now.
As always, it's great to see how Rick Riordan incorporates Greek Mythology within the story, adding his own spin to the Gods and how they are portrayed in a modern setting - Apollo, for example, flies a car across the sky for the sun to rise.
Overall, these books are fantastic reads, and if you haven't already picked them up, or are unsure about continuing the series, I definitely urge you to read them. They are really quick and fast-paced books, that are filled with so much action, comedy and mythology.
