I liked this one a tiny bit less than the first arc but not enough to give it a different score. These are still very enjoyable audiobooks that I am always eager to get back to and the quality of the narration is still on a high level but I think I noticed some inconsistencies with the voices of 1 or 2 characters and that gnawed on me a little.

In terms of plot this arc felt a little bit like meandering. Sure we are within a time loop and stuff is bound to repeat itself and things we already know are usually glanced over very quickly but I just had the feeling that we haven’t really progressed the story much until the very end of the book which is hugely relevant to the overarching Mystery. There was also a hint that we are about to embark on some overly long fetch quest that I am really not thrilled about but we’ll see how that develops.

In general the whole arc/book felt like it was a lot about honing and improving skill and or relationships which was also nice but there was always this voice saying “Can’t we go back to the actual goals? / Aren’t we forgetting something?” Sometimes I think the series would benefit from a faster pacing.

It was cool to see a few different parts of the world though I must say that worldbuilding is not necessarily this series' strongest aspect.

The strengths lie more within the characters which are all very distinct and always just instantly recognizable not just through the great voice acting but just their personalities and traits and more importantly what they bring to the story.

Overall aside from some nitpicks I still have a very good time with these audiobooks and I am eager to jump into the next book but before that I will go back to 1 or 2 other series so I don’t completely forget about them.
