The Properties of Perpetual Light by Julian Aguon

emotional funny hopeful inspiring reflective sad fast-paced

While reading it and when I finished, gos metgot i piniti-hu. It made me think about my life as a CHamoru and how should I move forward. I appreciated the raw honesty about life, grief, and colonization. Especially when Aguon involved true accounts from other people from other parts of the world. I also liked the footnotes since it was like he was showing more acknowledgements to the people who inspired him. It was also like talking with a friend. When you're both talking about a topic, but oftentimes you trail off track (yet sticking nearby to the main discussion) before reeling it back in.

It was a very short book. As a CHamoru reading another CHamoru's precious work, I loved it all. I was able to closely relate to some things he wrote about.
