Bluebird by Genevieve Graham
5.0

This was another book I bought this summer on a road trip with my family. We spur the moment stopped into a cute little bookshop in Canmore, Alberta called Cafe Books. We were lucky enough that Genevieve was there signing books and got to have a lovely conversation with her about her novels, and even got two signed to add to my collection!

I absolutely adored this book! I loved the 1920s, Prohibition Windsor setting and the dual POVs of the book. I think it was really cool that each part of the books started with Cassie’s POV in present time then transitioned into Jerry and Adele’s POVs from the 20s. The story was really intriguing and well written, and it gave me a new perspective of Prohibition, being the Canadian side of that and the War, rather than they typical US side of things.

I look forward to reading more of Genevieve Graham’s books, and learning more about historical events from a Canadian point of View!
