This book is a series of stories about people who have changed their relationship with work with some insights by the author added. It does not explicitly tell you what to do--it just provides some ideas you can use to meditate on your own life. I'm not sure I agree with some of the conclusions arrived at by the author, but I do agree that we need to be more thoughtful about how we spend our time.
I listened to the audio book. It seems to be more common for authors to narrate their own audio books--sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't. It did not in this case. There is definitely something to be said for the consistency in sound and clarity gained by using a voice actor. This author spoke like someone narrating a murder podcast or telling a story at a beach bonfire after a couple of beers. There was a sort of drawl as he dragged out the end of sentences that started to annoy me. I was considering abandoning because of that, but I changed the speed to 1.25 and that worked well for me.
