The Sign of Four
by Arthur Conan Doyle
3.0/5.0
I liked this story. I always like, it's Sherlock after all. But it wasn't his best case.
And there's the cocaine. I saw many people talking about the cocaine and yeah, I suppose it's kind of shocking when you first read it, but after watching so many adaptations of Sherlock Holmes I'm just used to it. What doesn't make me like it though.
Sometimes I forget about this bitterness that surronds Sherlock when he talks about women, so when he say something sexist all of a sudden it socks me a little, and I still don't know how to process this, because I really like this character (maybe because the first thing I've ever read about him was A Scandal in Bohemia), but this part of his personality still bothers me a lot.
Anyway, I liked this one, but I still think that Sherlock's best cases are told in short stories.
