The Man Who Fell to Earth by Walter Tevis

4.0

This is a masterclass in simple-yet-compelling storytelling. The main character, an alien, felt more relatable than his human counterparts. His doleful journey highlights the complexity and fickleness of the human condition, and reminds us all that the feeling of sonder should be a universal truth. Despite some very outdated stereotypes and antiquated sci-fi concepts, parts of The Man Who Fell To Earth struck me to the core.
