A Cuban Girl's Guide to Tea and Tomorrow by Laura Taylor Namey

y’all i cannot express how much i loved this book. considering i stayed up this late to finish it but honestly it’s not a shocker that i’m up this late. um i truly expected no smut in this book and my mindset was that it was cute and fluffy and that is exactly what we got. although they did kiss passionately in the park with her on his lap but they didn’t go further however that scene was actually really sad. yeah there’s tons of culture in this book and it’s not like oh they mentioned she was cuban and she made some cuban recipes no like the whole thing was about her being cuban and like her culture and her grandma teaching her everything she knows and like i’d say a main storyline in this book is Lila being a baker like her grandma and her making Cuban recipes and integrating them with England like this book was a cuban girl in england with an english boy showing him a lot about her culture and him showing her england and then opening up to each other. and when there was about like 20 pages left in the book i was really scared about how it would end bc i was gonna cry if Lila just stayed in Miami and move on from Orion somehow and him doing the same like they had planned earlier in the book but i’m so happy so glad so relieved and the ending. however me loving the book really really makes me anticipate and want the movie so that might’ve not been the best idea to read it rn. i probably should’ve waited until they released the movie to read the book bc i really loved it and now i wanna watch the movie so bad jeez oh well
