A Wild Sheep Chase by Haruki Murakami
4.0

It's been some time since I read a Murakami novel. Last time I read Men Without Women and Hear the Wind Sing, I went completely blind about the synopsis and just enjoy the ride. The two were okay, not really a life-changing read. But now I finished A Wild Sheep Chase, the third novel in The Rat series. I skipped Pinball 1973 so there might be some things that I missed, but it doesn't decrease my enjoyment in reading this book nor confuse me that much. It's the kind of book that you just gotta experience with zero knowledge. Yes, it feels like dreaming, feels like being transported from one place to the other, floating through different spaces and got presented by a couple of scenarios that mixed together. And yes, Murakami tend to wrote two-dimensional, overly-objectified female characters but I found the protagonist's girlfriend to had some depth in her character despite her personality still pretty shallow. The Sheep Man was creepy but seems like pretty chill guy
