Another great installment to the Legends of the First Empire series. While not my favorite, Sullivan managed to stir up emotions and keep me invested. Love the hidden gems and the exploration aspect of the series. Looking forward to Age of Death.
Didn't make it to a five star due to the first two parts of the novel. I understand Sullivan needed to fill in a six year time gap between Age of War and Age of Legend, but the division just didn't seem "natural" to me. It felt as if Part I and Part II were added as an afterthought. This made the reading experience slow, since you don't really begin Age of Legend until chapter 9. I think a novella (or a type of supplement) between Age of War and Age of Legend would've worked better.
