Part of Your World

wew what a wonderful retelling!
i admit, there were some points in the story that fell flat and i wished were more explored (e.g. vareet) and others seemed like they would be more involved but nope. ursula’s end, too, was a bit anticlimactic. however i much rather prefer this version of la sirenetta than the one where ursula loses the first round. ariel and eric went through much growth and still managed to keep parts of their young selves. the side characters like jona and flounder and attina and carlotta and grimsby and even max and scuttle warmed my heart! ariel and eric’s love felt more genuine than any other tale (although that might be because this tale is longer than the others). i loved seeing ariel as queen and i wish i could have witnessed their duet—ugh. but yeah, seeing ariel matured and less impulsive and thoughtless was fantastic! i even liked what she ended up doing—both her and eric :-))
