Here We Are Now by Jasmine Warga

3.0

3/5 stars
I liked this book well enough, but a lot of it felt too easy. All the problems had easy solutions and all the characters forgave each other too easily. It was also pretty predictable. However, I did enjoy Taliah's nuanced relationships with her mom, Toby, and Harlow. I also liked the way Jasmine Warga explored how Lena being an immigrant affected her relationship with Julian and living in America. For me, the idea of the plot was a lot more interesting than most of what actually happened. The book had it's great moments, but it was pretty average overall.
