What a fascinating character Maurice is. His dream is to be a famous writer but he does not have any imagination to produce a plot. So he uses his good looks and charm to steal and appropriate the stories of others.
One of the most interesting things is that we begin to learn about Maurice firstly through the voice of others, the people he takes advantage of.
It is fantastic how the character develops in our eyes from an opportunistic boy to a person who is borderline psychopath. This is a story that stays with you.
