I bought this book at my local library's used book sale and it had, what I thought was, water damage on it. But after reading it I realize it's just the tears and snot of its former owner. I hesitated to add content warnings because I may not have read this if I had known about some of them, but I should emphasize that it's all used in an artistic/poetic/metaphorical/empathetic way and doesn't feel exploitative or like shock porn. It's just very well done in my opinion. And I'm glad I read it, despite the ugly crying.
