The Bands of Mourning by Brandon Sanderson

4.0

I have too many feelings at the moment. The book in itself was okay - certainly more entertaining than the first two, the world is established, the characters have had time to mature and develop and I can safely say I am more bonded to them than in previous books (but still nothing compared to the era 1 characters for sure). And yeah, I had my doubts about a certain plot point, since the whole lord ruler coming back thing seemed a lil suspicious - he didn't have the humour to make all his "subjects" call allomancers those ridiculous nicknames. So as much as the main plot was interesting and the story deserved my attention, the last minutes of the book took my breath away and gave me (SPOILERS!!) MY LORD AND SAVIOUR BACK!!! Kelsier I knew I recognised your brand of crazy!!!!
Maybe I'll listen to secret history once more, since in theory now's technically the proper time to do it chronologically (but my bf saw me too devastated after Hero of Ages to make me wait)
